The Ministry of Administration and Local Self Government received around 30 requests for establishment of new municipalities in Kosovo, among them the requests for the formation of the Gora municipality and Priluzje.
Minister of Administration and Local Self Government Ljubomir Maric said that the formation of new municipalities in Kosovo was political issue that requires consultation with all coalition partners.
“This procedure is very clear and it foresees a feasibility study and sustainability of the new municipalities. If we take the same road for Gora and Priluzje, it is clear that we would not come to a positive outcome easily. So this is a political issue. A decision must be made between the coalition partners,” Maric said during his stay in Velika Hoca.
Maric said that talks about this topic will intensify in the future.
