The deputy director of the Serbian Government’s Office for European Integration, Ivana Ðurić, stated yesterday the Serbia will not agree to give up part of its territory for the sake of the EU membership.
“I never heard that Serbia will agree to give up a part of its territory for the sake of the EU membership,” said Ðurić while responding on question whether Serbia would agree on that if the EU would request such a thing. At the round table, organized at the Belgrade book fair, dubbed “How the EU is seen by Serbian citizens”, Ðurić stressed that this is the stand of the government and all officials with regard to that issue. She went on to say that no one is allowed to act out of the constitutional and legal framework of the state.
