Deputies of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Parliament supported yesterday the Law on ratification of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, but have abstained from vote on an amendment to the agreement which stipulates that Kosovo in agreement instead of asterisk is referred to as the Republic of Kosovo.
Head of the parliamentary group of the Serbian List Slavko Simic told Danas that on the eve of voting for the law on the SAA, the Committee for European Integration sent MPs the amendment, which states that Kosovo instead of the asterisk is referred to as the Republic of Kosovo.
– Deputies of the Serbian list have abstained from the vote. We were not against it because such the circumstances are. It is a kind of trade. And we will need the Albanian MPs when they adopt laws that are of great importance for Serbia. We must act in accordance with the circumstances and situation in which we are – said Simic.
