Kosovo’s Minister of Interior, Skender Hyseni, met with the ambassadors of the EU member states accredited in Pristina. He told them that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is determined to fulfill criteria for liberalization of visas. Except for the visa liberalization they discussed illegal migration, violent extremism and terrorism.

Invited by the head of the European Union Office in Pristina, Samuel Zbogar, Minister Hyseni stressed that  the Ministry for Internal Affairs is determined to fulfill the objectives for visa liberalization and that a number of them are already fulfilled.

Minister Hyseni said the issue of illegal migration of Kosovars is already put under control and that Kosovo will address in a long term reasons of migration. “Kosovo should not remain the only isolated country and visa liberalization is a benefit for the citizens of the country,” Hyseni said.

During this meeting Hysni also replied to a range of questions of interest to EU ambassadors.
