The Constitutional Court has decided on the constitutionality of the agreement for the establishment of the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities, reached in August between the Prime Ministers of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels.
Sources of Lajmi.net informed that the decision will be made public within this week, more precisely before the holidays of the end of the year.
According to these sources, the decision will conclude that the Association is not in contradiction with the Constitution of Kosovo.
Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga addressed the Constitutional Court on this matter, at the end of October, after a range of protests by the opposition parties at the Assembly and outside of it.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, had said that drafting of the statute of this Association would not start without an opinion of the Constitutional Court, if the agreement is in accordance with Kosovo’s laws and Constitution.
