Minister for Communities and Returns in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic said that in Kosovo in 2015 returned 704 displaced persons, out of which 340 persons of Serbian nationality. He said that in 2016 the Ministry of Communities and Returns will have a budget of EUR 6.4 million and that about 20,000 displaced persons have expressed a desire to return to Kosovo. In an interview with TV “Herc” from Strpce, Jevtic said that in the course of this year were registered 79 incidents including ten attacks on facilities of the Serbian Orthodox Church.  “17 attacks occurred in the municipality Klina, which is municipality with the largest number of such incidents. It seems that there are people who wish to cause uncertainty, fear and anxiety among returnees,” said Jevtic.

He spoke about political issues, saying that the Serbs in Kosovo institutions will not support formation of the army of Kosovo. “We discussed this topic several times and pointed out – we will not support such an initiative. We believe that some other issues are more important than the issues of forming the army of Kosovo; I think that Kosovo society should deal with the economy and other issues that are worrying the citizens of Kosovo,” said Jevtic.
