Pristina should not expect Belgrade to fulfill its obligations from the agreement on telecommunications until it delivers its part, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric told RTS.

Djuric explains that the agreement on telecommunications, of August 25, enables Telekom Serbia to operate in the entire territory of Kosovo, re-launch a mobile network with licenses and stipulates that there are no calling codes between central Serbia and Kosovo, as well as increased tariffs for the calls. He says that Serbia on the other hand seeks an additional calling code for itself.

”Serbia is asking for another calling code, which will not be dialed when you call from Belgrade and Pristina, but if Pristina implements the agreement, it will own another calling code at the ITU, in the same way as China owns dial codes for Hong Kong,” Djuric added.
