Delegations of Kosovo and Serbia, facilitated by the European Union, agreed last week in Brussels to begin implementing the agreement on mutual recognition of diplomas on 1 March. Kosovo’s minister without portfolio and head negotiator Edita Tahiri said the present agreement is broader than that of 2011 as it includes mutual recognition of diplomas of all levels of education. The recognition of university diplomas will be carried out through an international third party, namely the European Association of Universities while those of other education levels will be assessed by an international organization which will provide international certification.
