The chairperson of the Serbian Assembly for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, stated today that the incident in the vicinity of Visoki Decani monastery shows that a strong base of radical Islam has been established in the region and the State will do everything it can to prevent any terrorist acts.
Drecun also said that there is no major security threat against the Serbs, but individual acts can’t be excluded. He went on to say that Serbia will monitor future developments closely and will use all mechanisms at its disposal to prevent all acts of terrorism by radical Islamists in Kosovo and Metohija.
