Jahjaga invites parliamentary parties to meet on Monday (Koha Ditore)

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has invited the leaders of the political parties to meet on Monday at 09:00 hours, in order to discuss overcoming of the political crisis in Kosovo. However, the Spokesperson of the Vetevendosje Movement, Frasher Krasniqi, said on Friday that the Government of Kosovo has lost legitimacy after signing two anti-constitutional agreements therefore the only solution is resignation of the current government. “Therefore we are against and we will not respond positively to the invitation of the President,” Krasniqi said.

Member of the leadership of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), Bilall Sherifi, said that the President has continuously ignored the requests of the opposition. “Therefore as far as the Monday’s meeting is concerned, NISMA will not participate in such meetings, which are just for the sake of meeting. If the President calls a meeting for early elections, then there is no doubt that we would go,” Sherifi said.

The Spokesperson of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Muharrem Nitaj said they would respond to the President after discussing the invitation with the structures of the party.

So, there is no need to discuss their fulfillment, while two of them, due to their nature, are in the process of fulfillment. One of them concerns ratification of the Agreement for demarcation between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro, and the other issue, is completely technical, and it was never a criteria, but it was included as a recommendation in the latest report, concerns the decision for a permanent building for the Ombudsperson,” Collaku said.

Kurti: Mustafa’s and Thaci’s way lead to war in Balkans (Kosova Sot)

Former leader of the Vetevendosje Movement and current Kosovo Assembly MP, Albin Kurti said on Friday for RTK that Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa and his deputy, Hashim Thaci are pursuing a road which leads to a war in Balkans. “If we pursue Mustafa’s, Thaci’s, Dacic’s and Dodik’s road, there are great chances to within four or five years, have a war in Balkans to the extent that Balkans would not exist any more,” Kurti said. Speaking about election of Hashim Thaci for the president of Kosovo, Kurti said the session is not being delayed because Thaci does not have the support of the MPs of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), but because the opposition is not allowing for the session to take place. “Time has come to have no more sessions,” said Kurti adding that they posses sufficient amount of teargas.
