KTV’s editor-in-chief Adriatik Kelmendi in an opinion piece today commends the citizens for the peaceful protest held yesterday in Pristina. “The biggest day in the history of Kosovo was used for two actions complementary to each other – to celebrate and protest. There are many reasons to celebrate the independence of Kosovo from Serbia. But at the same time, there are many reasons to protest against the stagnation of Kosovo,” Kelmendi writes. On the other hand, he also criticizes the leaders of all political parties for their speeches during and after the protest. “If the politicians continue with the offensive speeches as those of 17 February, no one will vote them in 2018. The citizens didn’t respond to calls for violence fueled by politicians,” Kelmendi writes, calling on Kosovo’s political spectrum to set the date for early elections as soon as possible.
