House owned by a Kosovo Serb, Toma Baljosevic, who was kidnapped and killed in 1998, was set on fire yesterday in Orahovac/Rahovec. The house was set on fire at the time of a visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Branimir Stojanovic. The fire was noticed by neighbors who called the firefighters.

The chairperson of the Provisional Body of Orahovac, Golut Kujundzic, said that it is pure luck that his house, which is next to the one set on fire, was not damaged.

The house of the Baljosevic family was abandoned after the Kosovo Liberation Army attacked Orahovac/Rrahovec in 1998 and kidnapped the owner, his wife, son and daughter in law, and their one year old son. The two women and the baby were released from the KLA camp, whereas twelve days later Toma and his son were found dead in a ditch, and later buried in Belgrade.
