The Vice-President of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Slavisa Ristic said that proposal of the Office for Kosovo and Methohija on the so called integration of the University of Pristina (UP), with the seat in North Mitrovica, is only a first step in the process of its final integration into the Kosovo’s education system.
At the extraordinary press conference of a Patriotic Block, Ristic said that even though Office for Kosovo has refuted allegations on closing of this institution, the fact is that the Office has asked from the Ministry of Education of Serbia to carry out so called integration of the UP. Ristic said that even general public can see that it is about a treason carried out by the actual leadership, prime minister, president of the state and that this has to be stopped. He appealed on students and professors to oppose to this proposal.
Office for Kosovo and Metohija communicated that state University of Pristina, with the temporary seat in North Mitrovica, is one of the corner stones of survival and the future of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and highlighted that Serbian Government and people in Kosovo will not allow anyone to close this institution.
