Serbs from northern Kosovo blocked the Jarinje crossing for an hour today, making it clear that they will not give up on their Serbian ID cards. Despite announcements that, as of Monday, Kosovo authorities will no longer consider valid the Serbian IDs issued to Kosovo residents, this is yet not the case.

However, Serbs from northern Kosovo have gathered to express their displeasure with announced measures, and blocked the Jarinje crossing, for one hour.

Traffic was suspended during the blockade, which passed without incidents. Kosovo Police officers at the crossing said they had not received any information concerning the change of the entry regime to Kosovo, in relation with Serbian ID cards.
