Border demarcation with Montenegro to be ratified soon (Epoka e Re)

Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa said that the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro will soon be presented to the Assembly for endorsement. Mustafa said the Government is ready to fulfill all necessary obligations stemming from the visa liberalization process. “Beginning next week, I will have talks with the Assembly president and the country’s president to see in what form and when to address the Assembly”, Mustafa said.

Haradinaj: Government to correct demarcation agreement mistake (RTK)

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader Ramush Haradinaj in an interview for RTK warned that if the Kosovo Government fails to correct mistakes in the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro it will never be ratified in the Assembly.  He also said that the Government of Kosovo should not risk visa liberalization for what he said are their mistakes in the border demarcation process. 

Mustafa seeks international support for armed forces (Koha Ditore)

Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa has sought international support for carrying out constitutional changes necessary for the transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) into Kosovo Armed Forces (KAF). In a press conference yesterday, Mustafa said his Government will work hard in making this happen but admitted that more effort is needed in convincing the minority communities’ MPs to vote in favour of the KSF transformation. 

Krasniqi: We have no red lines towards PDK (Zeri)

Co-founder of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) Jakup Krasniqi said in an interview for the paper that his party has no red lines towards any political subjects, including the ruling Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). “There are no red lines in politics”, said Krasniqi. He said the pre-election coalition with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) was well-analysed and is open to all those who are discontent with the way Kosovo is currently being governed.

PDK to elect new leader today (Zeri)

Kosovo Assembly President Kadri Veseli stands to be elected today the new leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) as the only candidate for the post. The party’s convention is set to start this afternoon and 160 delegates will vote on Hashim Thaci’s successor. PDK’s general secretary Basri Musmurati told the paper that all preparations are in place and confirmed that so far Veseli is the only candidate.
