Serbian PM Vucic: Serbia will protect Trepça

(All monitored broadcasters, KTV, TV21)

During his visit to Kosovo north held in the framework of election campaign for Serbian parliamentary elections, the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic did not hesitate to interfere in Kosovo’s internal issues.

He told local Serbs that his Government will not abandon its people in Kosovo and it will not allow Prishtinë/Pristina to take Trepça mining complex over.

“In talks with Prishtinë/Pristina in Brussels I will make it clear that Belgrade will not allow Kosovo authorities to adopt a law by which Trepça mining complex would transform into a public enterprise of the so-called Republic of Kosovo. We will insist in Brussels. We do not want to insult anyone and we do not to make great promises, but we will protect Trepça,” Serbian PM Vucic said.

On the verge of his visit a powerful blast and shooting with firearms were heard at around 03:00 of Sunday morning at the House of Culture in Zubin Potok. No human injuries were reported. Serbian PM Vucic was planned to address citizens of this area from this build.

In a Facebook post, Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said that Kosovars own Kosovo and Trepça, too, Klan Kosova reported.

Other TV broadcasters reported that Kosovo ministers Ljubomir Maric and Dalibor Jevtic, as well as Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic escorted Vucic in his visit to Kosovo north.

Online version of KTV quoted Vetëvendosje chairperson Visar Ymeri saying that Vucic’s entrance in Kosovo is infringement of its sovereignty.

EU invites Kosovo and Serbia to an urgent meeting on reciprocity measures

(RTK1 & TV21)

Reciprocal recognition of certificates on carriage of dangerous goods by road and free trade has pushed the European Union senior officials to urgently call Kosovo and Serbia representatives to a meeting in Vienna.

Kosovo delegation is led by the Minister for Dialogue Edita Tahiri, who constantly informed EU officials for non-recognition of these documents in Serbia, consequently blocking of free trade. This has also brought the reciprocity measure by Kosovo side.

According to Prishtinë/Pristina officials, this reciprocity measure will not be lifted for as long as Serbia does not reflect about this issue.

The meeting called by the EU will be held in Vienna, due to tense situation in Brussels after terrorist attacks.

In an interview with RTK1, Minister Tahiri announced that the meeting will be held on Monday.

VV: Isa Mustafa’s sons are collaborating with Serbian companies

(Most monitored broadcasters, KTV)

In a press conference held on Sunday, Vetëvendosje returned to the scandal made public last year in relation with the company owned by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa’s sons.

Glauk Konjufca of this Movement said the company of Prime Minister’s sons is collaborating with the Serbian company Delta-Motors owned by Serb magnate Miroslav Miskovic.

Isa Mustafa’s party, LDK, reacted against these accusations. It qualified Vetëvendosje’s claims as bizarre and disgusting and that it aims to stain PM Isa Mustafa and his family.

Isa Mustafa’s son, Besnik Mustafa, also reacted. He considers VV accusations as attacks that damage the company he runs and its employees.

Novobërdë/Novobrdo Jewish cemetery desecrated

(RTK1)

Jewish Community – Bet Israel Kosova warned that a Jewish cemetery in Novobërdë/Novobrdo was desecrated. Head of this religious community, Ruzhdi Shkodra, strongly condemned the incident and expressed his concern because, as he said, the exhumation of bodies is something that never happened earlier.

Shkodra did not rule out the possibility that the desecration might have been done by grave robbers.

Police in Novobërdë/Novobrdo launched investigations into this case. Nevertheless, according to them, there were no interethnic related incidents in this region thus far.
