Local councilors who have left the Civic Initiative SDP in Mitrovica North and Zvečan/Zveçan and joined the ranks of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), communicated yesterday that their transfer is not directed against anyone, instead it is related with improving the living conditions of citizens. They also said that they will not return their mandates since they were elected by the citizens.

Dr. Marina Radomirovic, one of the councilors that left the CI SDP, also explained that the leader of the CI SDP, Oliver Ivanovic, has been warned several times about problems and that he knows the reasons for their transfer.

“For the sake of correctness and cooperation in the previous period, and I hope in the future as well, I won’t discuss this topic anymore, whereas I wish all the best to Oliver Ivanovic, foremost the freedom,” said Radomirovic. She added that they are now part of the successful team of the SNS, which helped Oliver Ivanovic so far, and to which he also extended support in last elections.
