As announced by the “Serbian alternative”, a group of citizens who are dissatisfied with the work of Serbian political representatives have decided to form the association and to highlight the problems of Serbs in Kosovo.
“We are scared because of the increasing outflow of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, because of the indifference of some representatives of the Serbs in the Serbian and the Kosovo institutions, because of the difficult conditions in which the Serbian people live, horrified by social injustice in which the same representatives of the people are involved, in which a certain number of people are receiving two or more salaries, while a large part of the population is unemployed. We are frightened with the knowledge that Serbian representatives in local and central institutions with their omissions, and even with the active participation in encouraging the sale of the Serbian land, affect the demographic destruction of the Serbs,” the newly formed Citizens’ Initiative announced.
The primary objective of the Civic Association “Serbian alternative”, as they say, would be to stop the sale of the Serbian land and emigration or migration of Serbian population from Kosovo.
This Initiative will, according to the statement, operate in accordance with the Resolution 1244 of the UN and fight for the realization of the rights of the Serbian people and other citizens who live in Kosovo, regardless of ethnicity or religion.
