Vice-President of the Civic Initiative SDP, Ksenija Božović, was deposed yesterday from the post of the president of the local assembly in Mitrovica North Municipality. She is replaced by Dejan Gurišić.
Instead of the announced discussion about the security and political situation in the town, spending of the funds and work of the Mayor Goran Rakić, most of local councilors decided to discuss the deposition of the chairperson Ksenija Božović. The reason quoted for her deposition was alleged failure of her to submit the rules of procedure in the first two years of work.
Božović said that her deposition is only additional pressure by the Civic Initiative ‘Srpska’ on CI SDP, following the recent transfer of three local councilors from the CI SDP to CI ‘Srpska’. She further said that this motion of the coalition partners in the local assembly is more disappointing following recent support extended by the CI SDP to the Serbian Progressive Party in the parliamentary elections.
