Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, has travelled to Brussels today where she will meet Angelina Eichhorst, the European External Action Service’s Director for Western Europe, Western Balkans and Turkey. The meeting will focus on Serbia’s blocking of the implementation of the telecom agreement, the independence of KOSTT and the revitalization of the Iber Bridge in Mitrovica. A press release issued by Tahiri’s office noted: “these agreements were reached within the package of the Brussels agreements signed on 25 August 2015, but there has been limited implementation. Serbia should not prevent Kosovo from getting its state telephone code; it should stop objecting the ENTSO’s decision to admit KOSTT as an equal member with other states. By the end of this month, according to the agreement, the European Union must revitalize the Mitrovica Bridge and open it for vehicles and pedestrians”.
