On the occasion of the World Refugee Day, Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government, Dalibor Jevtić, said that 17 years after the conflict in Kosovo there are still more than 200.000 displaced persons from Kosovo.

In a communique forwarded to media Jevtić said that that return of displaced is still a topic that causes negative reaction by some individuals and political organizations, but what raises more concerns is the fact that returnees are still being attacked. At the moment when efforts are invested at the regional level, with the support of the international organizations and missions, for finding sustainable solutions for return, certain politicians and political parties have labeled project of return (‘Sunny Valley’) as a colonization, Jevtić said.

He stressed that he is more worried that returnees are still being attacked, whereas those who wish to visit their houses ones in a year are faced with threats and messages that they are not welcomed.
