Inter-Ministerial Commission for Communities held the second meeting (KoSSev)

Kosovo government’s Inter-Ministerial Commission for Communities yesterday held its second meeting and adopted the proposal on the strategy for promotion of language rights, and a document related with the functioning of this Commission, communicated the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Branimir Stojanović.

The Commission held its first meeting on 10 March this year, when its fields of wok were defined. The Commission was established by the decision of the Kosovo government in October last year, and is comprised by the Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović, Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtić, Minister for Local Government Administration Ljubomir Marić, Minister for Public Administration Mahir Jaglicar, Minister for Finance Avdullah Hoti, Minister for Economic Development Blerand Stavileci, Minister without portfolio Rasim Demiri, Minister for Labor and Social Welfare Arban Abrashi and the Director of the Communities’ Office, which operates under the auspices of the Office of the Prime Minister, Ivan Tomić.

The Commission will follow the implementation of laws and regulations referring to the protection of the interests of communities, and will propose amendments of laws or regulations that insufficiently protect the rights of the communities.
