Almost a year has passed since Kosovo signed the agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro and despite internal opposition and issues; strong voices from international politics requested the formalization of this agreement.

The last one to have requested the formalization of this agreement was the Assistant Secretary of State at the United States Department, Victoria Nuland. She requested from the Assembly to ratify the demarcation as soon as possible in order for Kosovo to get visa liberalisation, KTV reported.

A day after this statement, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hajredin Kuçi, stated Nuland’s messages on the demarcation issue, will be taken seriously by the Government.

‘We will use each opportunity to find a consensus on proceeding the agreement further,” said Kuçi wthout specifying any date.

However, the opposition parties continue to be firm on their stance against the demarcation, regardless of the fact that Nuland considered the debate on demarcation as artificial.

Kosovo Public Broadcaster (RTK) 2015 annual report triggered harsh debate among MPs in Monday’s session of Kosovo Assembly. In the end, MPs present in the Assembly chamber voted neither for nor against the report.

MPs of ruling and coalition parties accused RTK for hiring a large number of employees without any criteria and of misusing the budget.

LDK MP Alma Lama said that RTK continues to hire a large number of employees without any criteria, while, according to her, despite the hiring, they carry on buying TV program from external productions.

Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) MPs stated that RTK’s report contains flaws and legal violations. VV MP, Shqipe Pantina, a Vetëvendosje MP, considered RTK as a television of the ruling parties.  She demonstrated a printed page of the online version of RTK, in which, according to her, there were eight news pieces about PDK Chairperson, Kadri Veseli, KTV reported.

On the other hand, all broadcasters reported that the Assembly on its Monday session approved the annual report of the Central Election Commission for 2015.
