Most news websites cover Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP Pal Lekaj’s call to other MPs not to ratify the current version of the border demarcation deal with Montenegro. “If you think by ratifying an agreement that is damaging for the country will help you stay in power for longer, perhaps in the political sense you could be right, but nature has its own rules and once you are no longer in power, the future generations will rightfully judge you as traitors. More than a mistake, the ratification of the demarcation deal will be a crime. Any decision in its favour will increase the threat of something even worst to come. Fellow MPs, the logic of politics requires politicians to sacrifice even their own wealth in order to protect national interests; you however are acting in the opposite way … You have a chance to say no to demarcation!” Lekaj said.
