Mustafa determined to close demarcation issue on 01 September

(KTV)

Prime Minister Isa Mustafa is convinced that the Agreement on Demarcation with Montenegro will be concluded on 01 September.

Mustafa says that until then he will use the time to convince the public that Kosovo does not lose any land with this agreement KTV reported.

According to him, the State Commission for Delineation of the Borderline has provided all the facts, no matter what others say.

Upon conclusion of the demarcation issue, Mustafa says he will also start the Government reformatting. He is talking with coalition partners about the ways of reformatting, but he explained that this issue will not be done before 01 September, as it is a time of vacations.

Prime Minister Mustafa made these statements while inaugurating the centre for wood processing in Greme village of Ferizaj/Urosevac municipality.

Coalition did not have the numbers for demarcation

(KTV)

The governing coalition has time until 01 September to persuade MPs to vote in favour of ratification of the agreement on demarcation with Montenegro. This is what the LDK MP Shpejtim Bulliqi believes. According to him, the inability to secure the votes has resulted with postponement of the Assembly session on this issue, KTV reported.

Bulliqi, who has constantly expressed his contradiction against this agreement, told KTV Interactive show that he also had contacts with other MPs from all the political parties, most of which, according to him, have doubts about the Government’s version.

According to Bulliqi, “the current demarcation changes the Kosovo map in state flag”.

The State Commission for Delineation and Maintenance of the State Border and Democratic League of Kosovo reacted. According to the Commission, such a statement is false, unprofessional and with maps, as it considers them, drawn on one’s free will and invalid.

LDK considered its MP Shpejtim Bulliqi as a spokesperson of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

In the meantime, political analyst Imer Mushkolaj believes that the governing coalition will manage to persuade MPs to vote demarcation, by offering them better posts, same as it did during the voting of Hashim Thaçi for President.

EU Office in Kosovo concerned with return of violent actions in Kosovo

(KTV)

The European Union Office in Kosovo has expressed its concern after the return of some violent actions in Kosovo, such as attacks against building of the highest state institutions in Prishtinë/Pristina.

“The EU Office in Kosovo/EU Special Representative is concerned to see the return of violent actions in recent days in Prishtinë/Pristina. Violence has no place in a democratic society and as such is not acceptable for the EU,” their statement issued for the press reads.

Adem Grabovci threatened

(Klan Kosova)

A letter containing threatening messages has been found in the building that PDK caucus leader Adem Grabovci lives in. The letter presumably dedicated to him, does not mention his name, but it corresponds with the parliamentary position that Grabovci holds.

The threat is related to the agreement on demarcation with Montenegro, which is being objected by the opposition, Rugova Valley residents and many experts of this field.

“We have defended our lands with blood. Do not sell them away, otherwise a grenade will blow up at your house,” reads the letter left in the building where Grabovci lives.

Grabovci confirmed he has found the threatening letter and said he addressed it to the competent bodies, online version of Klan Kosova reported.

Glauk Konjufca put under 30-day house arrest

(Most monitored broadcasters, TV21)

Vetëvendosje caucus leader Glauk Konjufca has been put under 30-day house arrest for firing teargas at the Kosovo Assembly Presidency meeting to contradict the agreement on delineation of the borderline with Montenegro.

Vetëvendosje reacted against this measure. It considers that this measure against MP Konjufca and the earlier one against MP Driton Çaushi as unjust and unacceptable. VV considers this as an indicator of Kosovo Government’s panic, which, according to it, is not managing to push forward giving away of Kosovo land.

EULEX will not monitor Customs any longer

(Most monitored broadcasters, KTV)

On the occasion of the conclusion of the supervision and monitoring of the Kosovo Customs by EULEX, leaders of these institutions said that their close cooperation will still go on.

Director of Kosovo Customs, Lulëzim Rafuna, said that EULEX will help Customs in implementing Brussels conclusions on integrated border management and strategic counselling.

Bernd Thran from EULEX commended the work of Customs, saying it is on the right track to providing services comparable with those in the European Union countries.

Head of the USAID Mission in Kosovo, James Hope, also took part in this meeting and considered partnership with Customs and EULEX successful.
