After 20 hours of talks in Brussels, delegations of Belgrade and Pristina did not manage to settle all elements which are necessary for the implementation of the agreement on telecommunications.

The head of Belgrade’s delegation and the director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić, said to RTS that there are less disagreements, however the agreement was not reached yet. He explained that talks, which have started yesterday at 08:30, have ended at 04:30 this morning and that there are less disputable elements, however Belgrade did not allow that property of the Republic of Serbia is brought into jeopardy, as well as the principles that could serve as precedent in future talks about this very important issue.

We insisted, and we remained consistent until the end in protection of our interests and the agreement reached by the prime ministers at 25 August last year, which should, once the agreement is implemented, enable our citizens in Kosovo and Metohija to make calls with other parts of the state without using the dial code, and keep the current tariffs and telephone numbers,” said Đurić.
