The Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Zahir Tanin, condemned the attack on the premises of the Radio Television Kosovo (RTK) in Pristina that took place on Monday evening.

“Violent attacks of this kind are never justified, and such acts are only detrimental to the future of Kosovo,” said Tanin. He calls for the perpetrators to be brought to justice and assures the relevant authorities of UNMIK’s full support in investigating this incident.

A hand grenade was thrown in the RTK yard in Pristina on Monday evening, communicated Kosovo Police. The activists who are protesting against the demarcation agreement with Montenegro have claimed the responsibility for the attack. The same group also claimed responsibility for firing a grenade at the Kosovo parliament building two weeks ago.
