Kosovo Police arrested today six Vetëvendosje activists for possessing arms in their houses. The Spokesperson of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK,) Muharrem Nitaj said that they do not possess information on what happened and added that it is very difficult for them to make an assessment regarding the arrests.
“First of all, we do not have information about what happened in reality and what were the real reasons of these raids and arrests. It is difficult for us to make any kind of assessment or take a position while lacking this information on the arrests,” Nitaj said. He added that the opinion expects detailed and justified information, which could have pushed the police to undertake such action.
According to him, the police and the prosecution are obliged to justify in details these arrests. “Otherwise they have to be held responsible,” Nitaj said.
