Chief of school administration in Mitrovica, Predrag Stojčetović says he has serious problems when it comes to the entry of textbooks to Kosovo.

“The entry of textbooks for primary and secondary schools from central Serbia is banned at the administrative crossings,” said Stojčetović.

He took the opportunity and appealed to all NGOs, OSCE and UNMIK to assist in solving this problem, especially when it comes to socially disadvantaged students, for which the Ministry of Education purchased textbooks for free.

Appearing in the TV Most morning program, Stojčetović said that the new school year will start on time and according to the calendar of the curriculum of the Ministry of Education of Serbia.

According to him in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Kosovo there are about 20,000 students.

“In areas such as the north of Kosovo and Gračanica is recorded an increase in the number of students, while in surrounding areas that number is reduced,” he said.
