Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović says that he is disappointed with relation of the local self-government of Pristina towards the Temple of Christ of Saviour and because it does not maintain the Orthodox cemetery in the city.

Stojanović has announced similar action as in the Temple of Christ the Saviour in order for IDPs to be able to approach the graves of their relatives.

About two-thirds of the Serbian Orthodox cemetery in Pristina today is completely abandoned and overgrown with weeds, making the most of the cemeteries around the old chapel almost inaccessible.

Former Pristina parish priest Darko Marinković earlier said to Beta that a company from the town was responsible for the cleaning of the cemetery, through the municipality, and that the one-year contract for the repair of destroyed gravestones at the cemetery has expired and since then no one is working to fix the broken tombstones.
