Radio Free Europe reports that there is an increased interest with the members of the Serb community living in the northern municipalities to get issued with Kosovo documents. Adriana Hodzic from the Mitrovica North municipality said getting Kosovo-issued personal documents is no longer taboo among members of the Serb community in the north. “We have every day a large number of citizens who freely come and apply for documents they need,” said Hodzic. The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pristina said that so far, over 26,000 citizens from the four northern municipalities have been issued with ID cards and over 2,000 received Kosovo passports. “Integration is already happening,” said Hodzic.
