The Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa, said on Friday that it is important for the local elections that will be held next year and the national ones after a year and a half, to be organized in the best manner.
“LDK is ready to contribute in this process. Four years ago, we agreed to start this process, we have worked hard, and we have a great volume of completed works. Reform is a benefit to everyone in order to find a solution that pleases all. Our main orientation was to have a process as simple as possible that allows as little irregularities as possible during the election process. Local elections should be well considered and procedures should be shortened, it should be discussed if we have to go for runoff or not, we should discuss whether it is going to be one or more election zones. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. With this respect, changes of the Constitution are also required, and for this, the will of the two thirds of the Assembly of Kosovo is required,” Mustafa said.
