Kadri Veseli and Ramush Haradinaj insist the most on the elections, suspected to be among the first against whom will be launched court proceedings in The Hague, writes daily Politika.

Fear of the leading Albanian politicians in Kosovo due to the work of the Special Court for war crimes of the KLA, is one of the main reasons of increased speculations about the early parliamentary elections in March or May next year. In case of the elections, the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will be ”frozen” for several months, until a new Kosovo government is formed. The negotiating process, which has already fallen into crisis because of the Trepča issue, could be postponed and because of the election for President of Serbia in the spring.

The Serbian List is ready for possible early elections, and Deputy Prime Minister Branislav Stojanović assures that nobody among Serbs is running away from elections.
– Albanian parties in power and in opposition are creating election atmosphere and the impression is that everyone has some interest to go to the polls as soon as possible. If this continues, then we will almost certainly go for early elections in the first half of next year. For us, this will not change anything because our priorities are known.

Stojanović doubts that in this atmosphere will be continued dialogue and reminded that almost all Albanian parties are against the Brussels agreement and that continuation of the dialogue would be meaningless in such a situation.

President of Active Serbia Dušan Janjić says that it is clear that some of the major figures of the Kosovo will end up in The Hague, but big question is who. He assures that Albanian politicians are mistaken when think that possible functions in government will protect them against the legal process and accountability for war crimes.

For Janjić is surprising that the rulling coalition survived until now and says that the elections will be an evaluation of Thaçi, Mustafa as well as the international community which calculates and with the Special Court but more in terms of whether the trial could reduce the ruling parties rating.
