Fatmir Limaj, leader of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), said today that the wall in northern Mitrovica derives from the agreement signed between Kosovo and Serbia on April 2011. He said that discussions in Brussels caused not only the wall but many other problems. “Not only the wall, but everything that derived, including the association, derive from the April agreement.” Limaj said.

He stressed that he is not against dialogue, but according to him, there should be a clear agenda on how to dialogue. According to Limaj, Kosovar representatives are more trying to benefit for themselves than to resolve Kosovo problems.

Speaking about demarcation, Limaj said the agreement is not a good one and as such, it should go for arbitrage.

“The government of Kosovo fell on its own trap. They said that they have the votes,” Limaj said adding that the opposite happened. According to Limaj the situation derives from non-transparency of the governing coalition.
