Minister of Justice, Dhurata Hoxha, said she has requested the state prosecution to investigate the statements of Tome Gashi, the defense attorney of the Dehari family, and the report by the two independent experts. Hoxha said she expects the prosecution to interview Gashi and the experts who challenged the official report by state institutions which concluded that Dehari had committed suicide. “I have asked the chief prosecutor to initiate investigations into their claims and to interview the three of them … The prosecution is investigating the cause of death and we should let them do their job. We want the case to be investigated completely, be it even with international help,” she added. Pristina-based news website Telegrafi published Minister Hoxha’s letter to State Chief Prosecutor Aleksander Lumezi with her request to “investigate incompetent people that supersede legal authorisations and who are in opposition with the penal code”.
