Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said at today’s government meeting that Kosovo is determined to enforce legal and constitutional order throughout its territory. He said there has been recently intensification of provocations from Serbia but underlined that all Kosovo institutions are well-prepared and coordinated to protect stability of Kosovo. Mustafa extended invitation to Kosovo Serb representatives to return to Kosovo institutions and “work jointly for the future of all citizens of Kosovo.” “I would also like to emphasise that the government is committed in implementing agreements from the dialogue, including the one on the association of Serb-majority municipalities,” Mustafa said. He reminded the local authorities in Mitrovica North that the wall they constructed has no permit and that walls are neither the present nor the future for the people of Kosovo. As for the EU-facilitated dialogue with Belgrade, Mustafa said it is the strategic orientation of Kosovo but that “we need to make sure dialogue is effective and as inclusive as possible.” “I also call on the Government of Serbia to renounce threatening language and replace it with the language of dialogue and cooperation.” Mustafa said further.
