Political analyst from Pristina Behlul Beqaj estimates the inclusion of Presidents Hashim Thaci and Tomislav Nikolić in Brussels dialogue as the failure of the process.
– Continuation of the talks in this format will lead to degradation of Kosovo, while Serbia will be the winner in international relations – Beqaj told Beta agency, adding that the resumption of dialogue can lead to the unilateral formation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO).
– Now while expecting opening of Chapter 35, Serbia uses tactics; the failure of the authorities in Kosovo and the lack of clarity in international relations about what will bring the new US policy, because more is actualized the strategy of forming a mono-ethnic states – said Beqaj.
He adds that he would not be surprised if Serbia on February 15 declare the formation of the ZSO and continue with other provocative actions, said Beqaj.
Beqaj adds that he believes that the dialogue should be continued, but not with current content which makes no sense than with topics which will be seriously and substantially considered.
– We are at the crossroads. It is time for serious evaluation and consideration. Otherwise, instead of normalization of relations we will have a further deterioration of the situation since Serbia threatens with unilateral formation of the ZSO. It may happen that Serbia’s real game starts on 24 January. My forecasts are that intensely destructive behaviour of Serbia quickly will begin – says Beqaj.
