Fire that broke out last night in the premises of the movement “Fatherland”, and Association of Serbian-Russian friendship in Mitrovica North did not occur due to malfunctioning of electric installation and outdated heater, it was set, claims Marko Jakšić.

Former vice-president of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Marko Jakšić, said to RTV Kim that last night incident was a ‘signature’ of the current authorities, that is, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

He went on to say that the chairperson of the National movement “Fatherland”, Slaviša Ristić, openly talked about “ongoing Kosovo betrayal in last couple years”, what is, according to him, the reason behind the incident. He also denied preliminary police reports that the fire could be caused by malfunctioning of the electric installation and the heater, and explained that installations have been renewed couple years ago, whereas the outdated heater has not even been switched on, nor has anyone attended the premises lately due to cold weather. He added that residents who live in vicinity said that they heard noise and breaking of the window just before the fire broke out.
