Several news websites report that the so-called “Eye of the People” organization has sent a press release to the media claiming responsibility for the attack on Pristina-based lawyer Azem Vllasi. The press release notes: “Knowing that the ‘leaders’ of these three wars [referring to the conflicts in Kosovo, FYROM and Presevo Valley] organized a coup in the political-military mechanism and will not resolve the Albanian issue in the Western Balkans, knowing that the Albanian leadership has close ties to the anti-Albanian services of European countries, knowing that the Albanian leadership is neck-deep in corruption and organized crime … the organization will strike against all those that have taken the vote of the people and have done nothing for them … It was time to create this mechanism that will serve as a vanguard of the freedom-loving Albanian people that has suffered greatly from many invaders through the centuries”.
