Leader of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) Vuk Draskovic thinks that Serbia should accept and recognize Kosovo reality and calls for acceptance of the Martti Ahtisaari’s Proposal from 2007, as a base to continue the Brussels dialogue, Blic daily reported.
According to him, the reality is that Kosovo independence was recognized “by the vast majority of the UN and the EU.” Draskovic went on saying, adding that “Serbia’s sovereignty over Kosovo exists only in her Constitution preamble, and by being slave to this norm outside of reality, Serbia suffers great losses, political, development, democratic, demographic and financial,” Draskovic wrote in his Op-Ed to Blic.
Although belated, SPO leader calls for the acceptance of the Martti Ahtisaari’s Proposal, as a base for the continuation of the Brussels dialogue with Albanians.
“Let’s sign agreement on comprehensive normalization of our relations with them. The hostility is best silenced with a friendship,” Draskovic concluded.
