Unknown persons threw Molotov cocktails at the building of the illegal municipality of northern Mitrovica last night. Sources from the north say the attack happened last night around 20:40 hrs, but the explosive did not activate so there were no human casualties or material damages.

Krstimir Pantic, illegal mayor in northern Mitrovica, accused KFOR troops of withdrawing from their position after the incident. International peacekeepers were reportedly only several meters away from the building.

“This is another fact that KFOR and the international community are not interested in preventing attacks against Serbs and to protect their wealth and property,” Pantic told Serbian media.

Pantic also said that starting from today the so-called “Territorial Protection” in the north will assume responsibility for providing security to Serb residents in the north and for the building of the municipality.
