The Kosovo Special Court for KLA War Crimes, would definitely start working end of this year or at the beginning of the next one. Daut Haradinaj would most probably be the first indicted person, Serbian media reported.

Blic daily further said that Daut’s brother Ramush, and the current Kosovo President Hashim Thaci would be witnesses. Blic quoted an unnamed foreign diplomat from Kosovo who said everything is ready for the first indictments and first arrests.

The mentioned diplomat, according to Blic, also said that the court proceedings for murders, kidnappings, expulsion of the population would include around one hundred local Albanians.

“Political and military wings, commanders, soldiers, direct perpetrators of the crimes or masterminds, according to assessment one hundred of them, would be persecuted, suspected or the court would call them as witnesses,” Blic source claims, adding that the KLA had around 15.000 members, and that a high number of the KLA commanders would also face the court.

According to Blic daily, special EULEX police unit would carry out arrests of the local Albanians, with some kind of support from the Kosovo police.

The foreign diplomat also said that beginning of the court trials, would after almost 20 years “end the war option among the Kosovo authorities.”
