Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP, Lumir Abdixhiku, said today that if the prosecution was functional it would have questioned today Minister Nenad Rikalo about allegations that he mistreated residents of the Dardania neighborhood in Pristina during 1998-99 conflict. “If this state would have a functioning prosecution, terrifying testimonies about mistreatments by Nenad Rikalo – a member of the Red Berrets during the war in Kosovo – would have been addressed first thing this morning,” Abdixhiku posted on Facebook. “If this state would have a proper government, a member of paramilitary forces would not have been part of the cabinet. He must be dismissed. Deals with the Serbian List cannot defeat the dignity of Albanian victims. There are dozens of citizens and witnesses who claim about the brutal mistreatment of Albanian civilians. Their claims will not go away in silence. We will do everything, in Parliament and outside it, to get the necessary answers. I call on the Prosecution of Kosovo to address these allegations without delay”.
