Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, and Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, met in Tirana today and among other topics discussed Kosovo’s UNESCO membership bid. Haradinaj said Kosovo would be a valuable member state of the UNESCO. Rama said Serbia’s opposition to Kosovo’s bid is absurd. “I told Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that I don’t understand their opposition to Kosovo’s membership of the UNESCO … If Serbs believe their cultural heritage in Kosovo is important, then they should be the first to protect their heritage,” Rama was quoted as saying.
