The European Union made an announcement related to the engagement of a war crime convict, General Vladimir Lazarevic at the Serbian Military Academy, saying that Serbia should respect European standards, Serbian media reported.

We expect from politicians to respect the victims of the past conflicts and to truly promote reconciliation in the Western Balkans that is of crucial importance for stability, peaceful future and prosperity. Political leaders should lead all the efforts to overcome a heavy burden of the past and to constructively initiate the building of a mutual trust, dialogue and tolerance, reads the response that the spokesperson of the EU High Representative, Maja Kocijancic sent to the Pristina based daily, Serbian media reported.
