Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met today with European MP Ulrike Lunacek, in her last meeting as rapporteur on Kosovo, most online media report. Thaci thanked Lunacek for her honest commitment to Kosovo. “You have been Kosovo’s voice in Brussels and Brussels’ voice in Kosovo. An honest and constructive voice,” Thaci said. Lunacek said she followed Kosovo since the declaration of independence. “The Stabilization/Association Agreement and the European reforms agenda are a roadmap for Kosovo’s European perspective,” Lunacek said. Thaci also said that Kosovo has made significant progress in consolidating its statehood, including the smooth organization of local elections and the integration of judges and prosecutors in the northern part of Kosovo. He also said that economic and social development is among the top priorities of Kosovo authorities.
