Serbian List representatives told EU chief in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, on Tuesday that they will not vote in favor of the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into the Armed Forces, and Apostolova said that dialogue is needed between Kosovo Serb representatives and Kosovo institutions to find a good solution. Asked to comment on the matter, Haxhi Shala, chairman of the Kosovo Assembly Committee on Interior Affairs, Security and Oversight of KSF, said Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj should initiate a dialogue with the Serbian List to establish the Armed Forces through constitutional amendments. “The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, should sit with the leader of the Serbian List and agree on the formation of the Kosovo Army through constitutional amendments. “We expect the Prime Minister to submit to us the constitutional amendments so that we can process them to Parliament as soon as possible … We plan to submit the law on the transformation of the KSF in late December,” Shala said.
