Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, in an interview to Politico, commented on a statement by Malcolm Simmons, former EULEX judge, who said that due to political reasons the EU Rule of Law mission in Kosovo had tried to remove Fatmir Limaj from the political scene. Haradinaj said that “Simmons’ statements would have been respected more if he had said them during the time he served in Kosovo and not at the end of his mandate”. Haradinaj, who is visiting Brussels, also said: “There are EULEX members who are committed to the rule of law. But sometimes there is also concern about the quality and standards that are applied”.
