Xhavit Haliti, deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), told the news website today that his party had expected better results from the mayoral runoff elections and that other parties joined forces against the PDK. “Nonetheless, our party made maximal efforts, the leadership and Veseli, to win in the bigger municipalities. For example, in Prizren, we are expecting to win, because the conditional ballots have yet to be counted,” Haliti said. He added that regardless of the results, the PDK and its branches must reflect and prepare for other “battles”. “This is a political game, it is important that there haven’t been any problems during the elections,” he said.
