Pristina said Guinea Bissau has decided to recognize Kosovo again, however the note Kosovo Minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli showed lacks signature of the minister, therefore, its validity is questionable, Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti writes today.

The said document was sent by the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Vecernje Novosti source claims this ministry is not responsible to make decisions of this kind, and the note is also written in the Portuguese language which is not a common occurrence.

An exchange of power is taking place in Guinea Bissau at the moment, the daily further writes, the note that arrived in Pristina bears the date of 24 January, while the Prime Minister of this state Umaro Sissoco Embalo (who visited Belgrade in November last year) in an attempt to end a political crisis in the country, resigned one week prior to that on 16 January 2018.

Given that the new Prime Minister, Augusto Antonio Artur Da Silva was nominated by the President only two days ago and his first task is to organize a new parliamentary elections, it looks like the new decision on Kosovo recognition was made in a political vacuum and its legality is questionable, Vecernje Novosti reported, adding the things would become clearer after the elections there and the establishment of a new government.
